Terms of Service
Welcome to Splash & Shine! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website or hiring us for pressure washing services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
Splash & Shine provides residential and commercial exterior cleaning services in and around Cambridge, MN. Specific services include, but are not limited to:
- House and siding washing
- Driveway and sidewalk cleaning
- Deck and patio cleaning
- Gutter cleaning
- Roof cleaning
- Fleet and equipment washing
All services are performed with care and in accordance with industry standards.
2. Quotes and Scheduling
- Estimates: All service estimates are free and based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary depending on site conditions and job scope.
- Scheduling: Once a quote is accepted, we will schedule the service at a mutually agreed-upon date and time.
- Delays: Weather or unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. We will communicate any necessary rescheduling as soon as possible.
3. Payments
- Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, check, and select digital or card payments.
- Payments are preferred on the same day of completion and must be made within 3 days of job completion.
- After 3 days, a 15% late fee of the original invoice amount will be applied, increasing daily if unpaid, unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon in advance.
- If a delay in payment has been communicated and approved by Splash & Shine, no additional fees will apply during that agreed period.
- Late payments may also lead to denial of future services until the balance is cleared.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure the best results and a safe working environment, customers agree to:
- Provide access to the property and any necessary utilities (e.g., water supply).
- Secure pets and remove valuables or fragile items from the service area.
- Notify us of any known damage or issues on the property (e.g., cracked siding, loose fixtures).
- Remain indoors or in a safe area while the job is being performed, especially during chemical application.
While our cleaning solutions are professional-grade and not harmful when used correctly, it is strongly recommended that customers stay inside or away from the active work area. This prevents accidental exposure to spray mist or noise-related issues that could cause a technician to miss a cue or unintentionally get someone wet.
6. Roof Cleaning Disclaimer
Our roof cleaning process uses professional soft-wash methods and high-quality cleaning products to treat mold, algae, and organic buildup.
While we aim for top-tier results, roof cleaning is never 100% guaranteed, especially for roofs that have never been cleaned before or have heavy organic growth.
- After the job is completed and paid for, if mold or algae remain, we will return once to re-spray the affected areas at no cost.
- If stains persist after the second treatment, no refunds or additional cleanings will be issued.
- This policy exists because some buildup or discoloration may be too deep within old or deteriorating shingles for chemicals to fully remove.
7. Stain & Surface Limitations
Our standard house wash is designed to remove dirt, cobwebs, dust, pollen, mold, mildew, algae, and other organic buildup.
However, certain types of stains require specialized cleaning chemicals and methods that are not included in a standard wash. These include:
- Oil and grease stains (from vehicles, grills, or spills)
- Paint spills or graffiti
- Rust stains
- Oxidation (chalky or faded siding)
- Chemical spills or artificial discoloration
Each of these stains requires its own separate process and chemical treatment.
We do offer these as additional services for an extra fee, which will always be discussed and agreed upon with the customer beforehand. Customers will never be charged without prior approval.
Please note: Rust and oxidation removal are not included in a standard house wash. Each requires a specific product and process, billed separately.
8. Window Cleaning Limitations
- Our window cleaning service effectively removes dust, dirt, pollen, bird droppings, and other natural buildup.
- However, paint, adhesive, silicone, or glue residue are not part of standard cleaning.
- We do offer additional cleaning services for the removal of paint, adhesives, and other construction residue, but these come with an extra fee that will be discussed with the customer prior to any additional work.
- We will always pause the job and explain the situation before performing any extra services. Customers will never be billed unexpectedly.
9. Liability
- Splash & Shine is fully insured and takes every precaution to avoid damage.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or issues caused by poor maintenance.
- If a surface or fixture is fragile or already compromised, we will notify the client before beginning work. By agreeing to proceed, the client accepts the potential risk of damage.
- Minor cosmetic wear may occur on aged or heavily weathered materials; this is considered normal and is outside of our liability.
10. Complaints and Job Review
- We highly encourage clients to walk around the property with our technician after the job is complete to review the results together.
- If there are any concerns, please mention them immediately on-site so we can fix them before leaving.
- If a concern is raised after we leave, it may take additional time to schedule a return visit due to a busy calendar.Complaints must be reported within 14 days (2 weeks) of service completion.
- After that period, all jobs are considered final.
11. Satisfaction Guarantee
- Our satisfaction guarantee ensures that if we make an error, we will correct it at no cost if reported within 14 days of service.
- If a dirty or missed spot is found, please send photos and a short description, and we will return to address it promptly.
- After the 14-day period, we cannot guarantee a return visit or complimentary re-cleaning.
- Refunds or partial refunds are not offered beyond the specific policies stated in the roof cleaning and stain limitation sections.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, logos, images, and service descriptions — is the property of Splash & Shine and may not be used, copied, or reproduced without permission.
13. Website Use
By using our website, you agree not to:
- Use it for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Distribute viruses or harmful software
We reserve the right to restrict access to our website at any time for maintenance or policy violations.
14. Changes to Terms
- Splash & Shine reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
- Any updates will be posted on our website with the “Last Updated” date shown at the top.Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
- Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of Isanti County, MN.
